Dan Taylor

One of the most experienced family law attorneys in Tennessee, Dan has spent thousands of hours in court representing clients in divorce and other family law matters. His goal is to protect his clients financially, professionally, and personally. A divorced father of two, Dan understands first-hand the challenges and concerns that arise from divorce. He has handled family law cases at the trial level, the Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Tennessee.

Dan has received the highest honors awarded in the legal community, including membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in America in Family Law for the last 29 years. He has had an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell for more than 30 years, the highest rating possible based on reports from clients and colleagues. He has been recognized by Memphis Magazine as one of the top attorneys in Memphis, and as one of the top 100 attorneys in Tennessee. Dan is an active member in the Memphis legal and professional community. A member of the Memphis Bar Association for 41 years, Dan has served on the Memphis Bar Association Board of Directors representing the Family Law Section. He is a member of the prestigious Lawyer’s Journal Club of Memphis. He also served for many years on the Board of Directors of Colonial Country Club. For many years, he was a partner in the law firm of Causey, Caywood, and Taylor, one of Memphis’ most respected family law firms.

A native Memphian, Dan graduated third in his class from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1980, where he was on the editorial board of the law review. He attended Rhodes College (then Southwestern), where he played baseball for the Lynx. He loves Tiger football, hunting, fishing, golfing, snow skiing, and any other activity that keeps him outdoors.
